Plans finally came to fruition.

Tonight, I finally got round to setting up a Q-tank suitable for Hillstreams. I had previously built a River-Tank manifold out of potable water pipe and fittings that I had discovered in a storage locker in our apartment block. Someone moved out and left the stuff! Cool!

Yesterday, I bought an Aquaclear 802 Powerhead to power it. So I threw the manifold in the tank, covered it with gravel, popped in the powerhead and "Hey Presto"...River-Tank! I planted some Crypts and placed many smooth, black pebbles on the gravel to secure their roots. The tank is filtered already by an established Fluval 203, so should be ready for any Hillies I see fairly soon.
