Khuli loach tangled in riccia/algea!!! *PIC*

Hello,

I went to check on my tanks this morning and found one of my khuli loach (only had them for a week and a half) has his head tangled in my bunch of floating riccia!

I have tried to pull away gently as much riccia as possible by cupping him in my hand... but there is a lump of algea/riccia that seems to be tangled around his head/neck and I am not sure I can pull that away without hurting/killing him...

His colour is ok and breathing is a little more rapid than usually probably due to stress of having a green lump stuck onto him.

Does anyone has any suggestion as to how I can save this little guy? Would he un-tangle the stuff on his own? Or is there nothing I can do?
