thinking about using CO2

Hi everyone,

Was thinking of purchasing the Hagen Nutrafin CO2 system as a cheap way to add CO2 to my tank. However, I was worried about pH swings and more importantly, adding too much CO2 which would stress out the fish. Here's my setup (29 gallon):

18 Sids
1 Apisto Cacatouides (large)
6 cardinal tetras
dozens (hundreds?) ghost shrimp

do you think adding CO2 would cause too much oxygen deprivation on the fish? currently, I have loads of java fern, some java moss, 4 anubias nana, 1 anubias coffefolia, 1 large anubias barteri, one large melon sword and a handful of crypts here and there.

I usually don't put so many fish in a tank, but i couldn't bear to break up the sids.

thanks in advance
