I came home this morning to find that a rubberband came off one of the bunches of stem plants I had just recently planted.

I guess my biggest polka-dot loach thought it was something to play with. He had the thing on his body, lodged behind his pectoral fins, just in front of the dorsal.

My hands have never shook so bad in my life! I netted him into a bucket with about an inch of water in it. Grabbed him by the tail and VERY gingerly snipped the rubberband.

What was interesting is I think he actually knew I was trying to help him. He never moved the whole time I was trying to get the rubberband off of him. But once it was off, he was zooming around like a loon.
