Clown loaches dying!!

Urgent help needed.
I have six clowns in a community tank varying from 2 to 1 year old.
Suddenly last night one of the clowns died, with only a few red marks on its belly as any evidence as to a problem. I opened it up but found no parasites.
This morning 2 more are gasping for air and on their sides, with no visible problems, no white spot slime anything.
I have moved them to an emergency tank with aqualibrium salts in the water, but haven't got any idea what else to treat them with as there are no obvious symptoms.
The tank is very mature and all water tests are fine. It has been a very settled tank for months with no new recent additions.
Any urgent advice would be apreciated.
