Well I had an excellent day... After the loss of four clowns over the past couple of weeks - due to a bout of ick combined with a nitrite spike - my 20g tank is back to normal and running smoothly.
I found a shop selling clowns 2/$15. Canadian, so bought four, plus two histrionicas. (Which were also reasonable).
They're very active and hungry and inquisitive, and my two survivor loaches from my last batch are visibly happier to have company.
The lot of them are schooling, eating lettuce... we just may celebrate with some blood worms at dusk.
But it is so much better to have a lively tank again! I was rather depressed after the collapse of my system recently, and thrilled to see it
