Loachy Miracle!

About 2 mos ago, I experienced (well, caused :-( ) a nitrate spike in my tank. After 2 long weeks of daily water changes and very sick fish, it ended upu w/ my 3 goldfish having shredded tail fins, but they recovered. They are now doing great -- tails growing back slowly and they are healthy and happy.

Of my 2 dojo loaches, Fred and Tina, Tina seemed just fine, but I assumed that Fred had died. He just disappeared, and I never found his body.
I looked and looked -- pulled up fake plants and searched everywhere, but he was nowhere to be seen. He was never a hider, and always came
out for meals, so I had previously seen him several times a day.

Some people thought maybe he had jumped out (but I have covers w/ good coverage, so I didn't think so); others told me that the other fish (the 3 goldies and Tina the Loach) could have eaten his body.
