Dojo - chancre sore on gill cover

Most loaches I have owned eat aggressively. My only current loach, a 6-inch Dojo, has not eaten that I have seen in the 1 week since I've had him. He rests some of the time, and also swims around a lot. He is not abnormally thin. He has now developed a 1/4 inch white sore on one gill cover, no other signs of disease. The tank was treated with Levasole for parasites (not Dojo's) at about the same time he came in. The community tank has very good water quality; zero ammonia, zero nitrite, 10PPM nitrate, stable, temp 80F.

Any ideas of what this is, and how to treat it?

Thanks.

PS Foods the Dojo ignores are: flake, algae wafers, frozen bloodworm, fresh veggies.
