Odd or Even Numbers for Clowns - Revisited

I never really believed in the theory of odd numbered packs being better than even numbered packs, but I'm starting to wonder, due to a recent experience.

Today, I removed a fourth clown from my pack, and placed him in a different tank for the following reason:

I have 4 clowns, 3 at 4+ inches, one at 3.5. While they all were happy as can be together, I was thinking my 29 gallon was getting too small for them (I have a 75 almost ready for the transfer). I moved the smallest clown temporarily to a 20 gallon long tank which is home for some striatas, histrionicas and polkadot loaches. While he seemed to be getting al
