algae - BBA I believe

Hello all. I've been reading the posts here and I see this type of algae has been discussed. I am currently combatting this algae. Are there any critters or fish that eat this - not necessarily to eliminate but more of control it? I have been told to add more plants to my tank which I have done. Is there such a thing as too many plants (just curious)? I have 4 java ferns and 3 swords.

Thanks!
