Poor threadfins...

Hey.
I have had a pair of Iriatherina wernerii - threadfin rainbow fish - for a long time in my clown loach tank. They loved it in there until I introduced some silver-tip tetras, who are just way too aggressive. Now the rainbows spend all their time hiding.
I am considering transplanting them to one of the other tanks... Has anyone ever had experience that would suggest they can live in peace with white clouds? Or zebra Danios? The white clouds seem more peaceful than the danios, but I don't know... I honestly wish I hadn't gotten the tetras, but what do you do?
Please make recommendations if they're based on experience.
Ciao,
Marco.
