Q's for my new 29 gallon tank

Hi Everyone. You might remember me who posted a few weeks ago regarding my ph level and that I had a 3gallon tank with 8 fish in it. Well, I just
bought a 29 gallon tank and am gradually putting
the fish into the new tank. The fish love all the
extra space they have to swim around.(Hmmm.....
wonder why?) I feel so bad that I was harming them
by overcrowding that 3 gallon tank. I didn't really think about it until I found this board and posted.

In case anyone was wondering....
how my fish faired in the old tank, they all grew
steadily and one of my catfish laid eggs just before I moved her into the new tank! Do they
even have a chance of living? Also, with regards to my new tank, do I need an air filter? And my last question is,how many fish c
