Tetra-eating Clown

Hi,
This is the first time I'm putting up a message so hello everyone.
I've kept a pair of Clowns for about 4 months now with a group of 7 neon tetras. Recently I bought another Clown about 7 cm long. Right after introducing it into the main tank, I had to go for a business trip for 4 days. When I got back, there's only one tetra left and I caught the new clown munching on another dead tetra. I had my auto feeder on so I never imagined it would prey on the tetras. Has anyone seen this before? Is tetra a natural prey for clown?
