large aquarium = sump filter ?

Never heard much talk here about sump filters. sure we say "i have this...." and "my.... is ....so & so....." We all love our eheim, rena XP, etc. etc. etc. and so on and so on. So I dont know what kind of intelligent replys I would get, but here goes. Lets consider a large aquarium. 8' length, 2' width, 2&1/2' high. Thats almost 300 us gallons. Considering watts, which is what transfers to the electricity bill, how does a water pump compare to about three(3) large canister filters? The new Quiet One Pumps are very reasonable in cost and wattage. Compare the price as well for a water pump against a few Canister filters. For those who love fish, I i
