Treating Loaches for ICH

Howdy Loachers,

I wanted to share my recent dealings with everyones favorite parasite, Ich! I have a ten gallon with small sids., rostrata, dario, and histronica. The three baby dario were recently added without quarantine. Yep pretty stupid to risk all the fish because I was to lazy to quarantine. Anyway, I noticed some flashing and a day or so latter noticed the first white spots on the sids. As the infection was early I wanted to try treating without meds. I raised the temperature to 88 C over the next couple of days from 80 C. I also added a 25 watt aquanetics UV sterilizer to the tank run by a powerhead. I am unsure of the flowrate through the UV sterilizer but I used a valve to restrict flow so that anything passing through would be zapped. Even so my guess is that the w
