Horsehead loach/Clowns-long

Any info about the feeding habits/preferences of the horsehead loach would be very welcome. Just got (week or so ago) three small clowns ("Bullseye"-has a defined black spot right on the center of his face, "Silver" aka the Lone Ranger-has bright silver irridecence on his face and sides-looks almost like a whiteish silver head, and "Slim"-who i'm watching carefully for signs of skinny disease.) They are sharing the 10 gal Q-tank with baby cardinal tetras, a female betta splendens, and a false SAE.
The problem is that it seems every morning I am finding a dead cardinal that has been eaten! I started with 10 of those little guys and now i'm down to 5.
Water params are good
