Are loaches piggy(portion-wise) eaters?
Making sure I feed them enough...
I have a Tiger (striatus?) loach in my croaking gourami tank and he also is acting unloachy (according to reputation).
He sleeps up high in the background plants with the gourami instead of in the loach log with the skunks or in the empty log. He not only cleared all the bottom detrius in a 3 day period (hooray), he has improved clarity and even skims the top protein slick that earlier had been developing. He come up and eats with the croakers and doesn't budge even for the alpha. The Alpha came all puffy at him to make him scoot, no deal. He rolled that loachie wall-eye , flicked his tail at the bully and continued eating the blood worm bonanza.
In the day I see him more than any other fish. You'd think it was a loach tank. Is this
