Larger loaches than Clowns?

Are there any animals in the loach family that can handle being with a bichir, or is his tank better served by armoured catfish. The clowns I got for his tank aint gonna work. They can keep the ghost knife company.
A bichir CAN swallow something the size of an adult clown when they hit 20-25 inches.I don't want to raise a clown to that size and have him "disappear!" o_0 Birchirs are not aggressive, just hungry. So his tankmates simply need to be just too big to swallow, also not aggressive..
The loach trio would have to be animals that are about 20 inches. If there are any that come so big.
