Kubotai YoYo posssible social issue

Ok guys. I have 3 yoyo's and 3 kubotai loaches living together. The problem is one of the yoyo's and one of the kubotai, the largest ones, constanly argue over a spot behind one of the caves in the tank. They have been like this for at least 3 months now. They have never hurt each other but are always fighting. I am worried because they are so worried about claiming this particular spot in the tank that they barely eat, they both have thinned out. Normally I would enjoy the behavior but I am starting to worry if it might be time to separate them. They were both adults when they were introduced. The kubotai is especially worried about his spot I haven't
