beaufortia - feeding or not feeding??

Still being almost an absolute beginner with regards to hillstream loaches, I am worried about my beaufortia leveretti, - because it only feeds on the algeas. I have asked in another forum and was told not to worry, but then I have read in this forum, that it seems most will eat all sorts of other stuff, and that they may almost have to learn it. So now I am worried, is there any trick to learn the fish to feed on pellets, or bloodworms or other things, mine just absolutely have no idea what that sort of thing is, and never touches it. Dont seem to notice it at all. Even when theres no other fish around to eat it first.
Can I asssume its just because it doesnt need any other than the algeas?
