Help! Little bug-things in the water!

I walk over to my fish tank this morning to find these little bug-bettle things crawling aroun din the gravel, and there's trilions of them! (maybe thousands, but anyway) they're kinda grey-ish brown in color, are very small, and they kinda just zoom around to move (kinda slow, reminds me of the little things you see in pond water under a microscope) Anyway I think they might be fish lice, but I have no clue. they arn't attaching/harming the fish in any way, they're actually being eaten by Link, my clown loach. (not at a rapid rate though)

All I want to know is what these things are, how do I get rid of them, and how'd they get
