Sexual maturity in clown loaches

I have read various posts on clown loaches, but there are some specifics I could do with some help with..

I have 4 clowns - 3 of them are about 4 inches and 1 is much smaller, they live in a 2.5 foot community tank with a couple of striatas, a few tetras and some other small fish - they are the main attraction.

I'm planning on moving them into a four foot tank which will be specialised for loaches. I'm hoping this will encourage there growth as they seem to have slowed down recently. Is there an optimal way of setting up my new tank to encouage them to grow and / or breed? Would breeding be more likely if they were kept in a species t
