OT (sorta): Betta a Shrimp Killer?

Posted By: cybermeez <cybermeez@NOSPAMaol.com>

Blutto the Betta's successor "Bob" has taken up residence in the 6-gallon Eclipse in my office. In an ongoing effort to control algae I added 3 Olive Nerite snails (awesome algae eaters for planted tanks!!) and 3 Cherry Shrimp.

Every few days I've arrived at my office to find one shrimp dead. The first one had not been eaten, the second had been nibbled on and the 3rd was almost entirely consumed.

Other than hiding most of the time the shrimp seemed happy and healthy. They ate and even molted. Now they are all dead and the prime suspect is Bob the Betta.

Can anyone confirm my suspicions? Would
