Pecking order of clown loaches.

I keep a group of 4 clowns in a community tank and recently the pecking order seems to have changed.

The largest member of the group was the leader right from when I bought them about a year ago...

Recently I have noticed some differences in the body shape of the 2 biggest members of the group.
The largest loach seems to be quite round and stocky. The slightly smaller one has a much more elongated thinner body.

Anyway, recently the thinner loach seems to have become boss - often chasing the bigger one away.

I thought this was interesting as you would have thought the biggest member of the group would be boss.
