At long last!

I overhauled the B. dario tank today, with finer substrate, some wood, couple of new plants, new under-substrate to help the plants get established, and, best of all, I got rid of the six rotten silver-tip tetras!!!
Originally bought as dither fish, these tetras fight and hassle each other endlessly. Two males and four females - these latter hid most of the time... You could feel the misogyny!
Anyway, with water from the old tank and the same filter, the new setup is now being enthusiastically explored by the ever-larger Bengal loaches. Just four in a 20 gallon. I can bring in some more fish later, but these guys rule the tank. Extra big cut of cucumber tonight!
Much happier,
Mark.
