Botia Striata

I keep a couple of botia striata in my community tank along with 4 clown loaches and some other fish.
I've found as the striata have grown, they have become increasingly aggressive and territorial, even bothering the larger clown loaches.
I was told at my local pet shop that striatas don't make a good community fish when they are big. The description in the loach species index suggests that striatas are well suited to a community tank. Maybe it should be noted they can be aggressive when full size.
Has anyone else had similar experiences with striata?
