the magical appering snail

well today i put my sick angel fish in the 10 gal... and started the med..and long behold i find a snail.... i have never purchased snails of any kind... i have thought about it on nurmores occassions for a nice snack for the loaches but did wishful thinking bring this little magical snail to my 10 gal? I have not added any thing new to this tank for quite a while.. i do have live plants in there which leads me to belive that a baby snail was on one of the plants and has started to grow and i just now noticed...what you do you guys think.
