weather loach question

Hi guys,

I am a happy new owner of a weather loach (ely) who lives in a coldwater tank with one goldfish.

the goldfish seems to enjoy rubbing his body up and down ely, and ely occasionally responds by opening his mouth really wide.

does this mean they like each other and are being friendly (if a little over friendly?) or are they being aggressive and are about to fight?

I'd be grateful for any advice anyone can give,
