clowns overeating on snails???

I am currently starting a 325l. aquarium up, it has run for about a month now, and in one or two months it will become the new home for my three clown loaches. Right now its only inhabited by two ancistrus and a few platys. Plus some snails, which is getting more in numbers and bigger in size by the day. I am catching a few of them, feeding the clowns, but still I think by the time the tank is ready, maybe there will be a lot of them, - and now I wonder (worry), will the loaches overeat on them, - could they do that...???
I actually would really like the tank to have run for even more than three months before putting in the clowns.
The snails are the normal cone-shaped ones, and I dont mind them as such.
regards helene
