I was talking to a lad who works in one of our lfs and he claims that his Sids have breeded. OK i says with open-ears sticking out of my head! Tell me! Keep them in a species only, well planted tank with the ratio of 1 female to 3 males. He had four groups of 1:3 all in the same tank. Females are generally larger and rounder than the males. Two of his showed a Gravid spot. Often he would see the males harassing the female with the smaller male on the inside of the circular mating routine. Then they would lock-together with the male just behind the females anal fin and then they would shake vigorously together and then release the eggs on to some broad leafed plants. Unfor
