Clown Loaches, Sex & Pregnancy

Here are my questions:

1) Does any one know how to tell female or male clowns?
2) I know that supposedly the word is that clowns have never been successfully breed in captivity, however I currently have a clown who has all apparency of being pregnant; her middle, underside is bloated, whitish and rounded, though also seemingly the most healthy and active clown in this tank. This is in total contrast to the underside of any of 100's of clowns i've ever seen -- nothing like this. Pregnant?
3) if so, does anyone have any info on how to proceed from here to help to complete the pregnancy -- we do love baby clown loaches and would love to have some!!!
