Hello, I'm a newbie clown loach owner

Hi everyone. I'm new here and just today I picked up 8 clowns. I am a former Discus owner and have given up the species in favor of new pursuits. I've also sold most of my smaller tanks and replacing them 120g tanks. So the clowns are currently in a 50g waiting until next week when I get the 120's. I figure I'll put some silica sand in there. I've got a tank running right now with big pieces of driftwood with anubias & java fern attached. It's in preparation of the loach tank as well. I will be adding some bristlenose & other assorted plecos and possibly some rams. Any other ideas would be appreciated, or advice as well.
