Interesting Clown Loach Phenomena

we've had about 4 sets of clown loaches put in our tanks in the last several months and are wondering if anyone knows the name and cause of the clowns cascading up and down the side of a tank in a school, and/or schooling in a rapid swim from one end of the tank to the other? they always do this during the first few days of being in the tank. it often goes on for many hours. i don't know if this is a sort of joyful expression of, "hey, we found a new home" or they feel happy to be better feed now or what. they only rarely do something like this after the 1st few days and then usually in a very small group or alone or sometimes with a few other species of fish. it's a wonderful thing to watch and if there is anything i could do to get them to do it much more
