C.O.D. before I even got him home

I was picking up 3 clown loaches from a friend today but when I arrive one had already died :x.

I was meeting him outside but he had a car & it was only about 5 minutes away from his house so the loach staid warm the whole time & the water was still quite warm when I got it.

The poor thing looked like it had gone into shock - not moving, not breathing just floating upside down. I saw them all last night on a web-cam and they were very healthy swimming around all over the place.

Because they were transported in aquarium water then only thing I can think of that might have triggered this might have been the change in light - but I don't think it was drastic/f
