Kuhli loaches do not like being disturbed!
I've been carefully creating near-identical water parameters and light levels in the new kuhli tank, but man do they ever put up a fight! They've settled down now, and are just hiding in a clump. I've moved most of the Echinodorus angustafolia and tenellus into their new home from the old one too, so it's filling in nicely with a planted bottom.
The Batiks moved too, but just seem perturbed - not panicky.
