Everything I have read about the Clown Loach (Botia macracanthus) says it is an active schooling fish that is best kept in a group of around three to six fish. I have also read the same about the Red-tail Botia(Botia modesta). Will these to species get along as a big group of loaches,if I had possibly 3 of each species, or would they form 2 groups of loaches being as they are different in color patterns? I would like to have both species in my 75 gallon community tank, but I just want all my fish to be healthy and as stress free as possible.Even if they did form 2 groups would it be possible to keep them in the same tank? I know I will eventually need a larger tank.
