The Mooseface Mystery...any Ideas?

I know a whole lot isn't known about Moosies and I'm one of just a handful here who've been able to keep them alive for any length of time. As most of you know, they are sand sifters and get their sustinace through this kind of forraging. My quetion concerns planaria. Would fish exploit these little nematodes as a food source? I'm certain I thave them living in my substrate and this may be a key keeping my Moosies fat and healthy. Any thougths?
