Botia and disease treatment

Hi all,
I have had botia close to 5 years now, During that time I have only lost fish once and that was recently, I have never had any problems treating Ick, usually by raising temp and adding a 1/4 dosage of Multi Cure( 0.4g/L Methylene Blue, 0.425g/L Malachite green, 2/L Acriflavine.
Recently I lost 2 Botia Almorhae, 4 clown loaches, neons, 1 African knifefish and 2 green tiger barbs to a disease I was unable to diagnose. The first symptoms appeared as slighty cloudy eyes in a few fish and spread to the entire population within 2 days. I began treatment with doxycycline thinking it was bacterial, after 2 more days the fish had extremly cloudy eyes and fin degradation, were not eating and breathing rapidly,and showed what looked like fungus on the body and fins and a wast
