Sinobotia guilensis

My large S.guilensis has just commited suicide by leaping out and down the back of its large and immovable tank. Before I replace it, a query for the experts. What is the ideal temperature to keep guilensis happy? Mine had been maintained for over a year at around 80 degrees F, along with various other loaches and rainbows, but a major local store is selling them as pure coldwater species (UK cold = very cold). Any recommendations about best temperature?
