sids like to be crowded too!

I discovered this today last night while trying to decide whether I could fit a particular piece of anubias growing on driftwood in a tank I was taking to the fish show.

A couple of minutes after I removed it from the loach tank, while I was rearranging it in an empty tank, I suddenly heard a soft plop, and then it was raining sid loaches.....into the empty tank, and on the carpet as I frantically grabbed driftwood back to their tank.

I recovered at least six loaches back to their tank, before the cat saw them, thank goodness. I think they must have been all crammed together into one cranny of the driftwood, and when they couldn't hold on any longer, plop, plop, plop, out they all came at once.
