bloated loach (and shark)

For several days my red tailed shark has looked quite bloated on its underside where I imagine its stomach to be. This is only visable in profile. After some research, I am worried that it is suffering from dropsy, but its behavior seems perfectly normal. In fact, it is if anything more active, eats more, and chases all the other fish away from the food.

It's color is good. It is eating a lot, which leads me to wonder if all I'm seeing is a full stomach. It is also growing fast. Do fish's proportions sometimes look strange during a growth spurt?

Today, the larger of my clown loaches seems to be manifesting the same symptoms, although not nearly as much as the shark. Does this sound normal? It certainly doesn't look it to me

Thanks for any suggestion you might have,
Kai
