Watermelon?

I realized I had forgotten to buy more cucumber for the Botia tank last night - they get a 3/4 inch slice every night, and it's usually just a hollow circle by morning. The only other food item in the fridge was a half section of watermelon, so I staked a small piece into the gravel.
It was very funny to watch the clowns and darios come out and investigate. They seemed genuinely surprised.
This morning it was all but a shred on the skewer, so apparently it was a happy surprise. I'll go back to cukes tonight, as I don't want to foul the tank with dissipating fruits, but it's a worthy note, I think. Loaches eat watermelon!
