Well, the local shop ordered 4 from the importer guy and two of them died. I saw one of the dead ones, and it had that patchy, unevenness to its skin that you sometimes see on Beaufortias. But I did bring home the remaining two tonight, and they're huge! A full 2.5 inches long. I was expecting babies, and I have a sneaking suspicion that smaller specimens didn't make it.
Aquariums West is going to get at least two more, to replace the dead ones, and I think Pet Boutique is getting some in as well. I'll try to catch some better pictures of them.
For now, I am pleased. Best of all, I managed to get them in a trade for a number of pitcher plants that the store has been selling - ones that I've been wanting to get rid of. So it's a win-win situation...
